How it works
Tracking shelf life is nothing new. But the answer traditionally comes days later, once a batch has already been sitting and most routing options are gone.
OneThird's NIR scanner measures the internal quality of the fruit real-time and an AI algorithm trained on an extensive database translates that into a shelf-life prediction on the spot. This means you can make routing and allocation decisions right away, getting product to the right destination at the right time, maximising freshness and minimising waste.

How accurate is the shelf-life prediction?
Our predictions are based on real-time measured quality, not averages or assumptions. Deviation is a maximum of 1 day, and accuracy improves further over time as the model learns your specific varieties, conditions, and supply chain patterns.
