Interim Marketing Manager (maternity leave cover)

Are you an Interim Marketing Manager who thrives on ownership and wants to lead our marketing for a defined period? Read on to find out more.

As an Interim Marketing Manager, you will replace our marketing manager maternity leave. This is from 9 December 2026 to 20 April 2027, and we are looking for someone to take full ownership of the marketing function during that time. You will start one month before the leave begins, so early November 2026. That way you can build context, meet the team, and get to know OneThird, and take over the strategy, campaigns, and events with a proper handover, not a cold start.   

Responsibilities:

• Own our overall marketing strategy and keep it aligned with commercial goals as set in the scorecard for 2026.
• Set up and run campaigns for lead generation across our markets
• Drive our content strategy and output, including PR, whitepapers, blogs, and social media
• Maintain consistency of our brand across every channel and touchpoint
• Organize our participation in events and tradeshows, including one of our bigger events in February 2027
• Supervise and support our marketing intern 

About you:

• Minimal five years of experience in a marketing role, ideally in B2B or tech
• A track record of running lead generation campaigns and content strategy end-to-end
• Experience organizing events, from planning through on-site execution
• Comfortable stepping into ongoing projects and picking up where a handover leaves off
• Strong written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus given our markets in South America, Africa and Europe
• A hands-on, start-up mindset, equally comfortable with strategy and execution
• An affinity with sustainability and food waste prevention
