Non-destructive quality control

Our portable scanners use near-infrared (NIR) technology to measure critical quality parameters instantly and without destroying the fruit. For avocados, we measure dry matter content, a reliable indicator of ripeness potential and eating quality. For blueberries and strawberries, we measure Brix, giving an accurate reading of sugar content and overall fruit quality. Providing fast, reliable data at every stage of the supply chain. We also offer visual inspection, which automatically detects dry and wet spots on the fruit surface. This gives growers and packers a clear, objective picture of visual quality that would otherwise rely on manual and subjective assessment.

Avocado Scanner for retailers
For retailers, we developed a dedicated Avocado Scanner that solves one of the most common frustrations in the fresh produce aisle: picking a perfect avocado. For shoppers, the experience is simple and satisfying. Instead of squeezing every avocado on the shelf and hoping for the best, shoppers can scan their chosen fruit in seconds and immediately see whether it is ready to eat today or still needs time to ripen. This takes the guesswork out of a purchase that too often ends in disappointment, whether that is a rock-hard avocado served at dinner or one that was already overripe before it made it home.
