OneThird way of working

We care about results and maximizing customer satisfaction. We care about commitment to our mission: preventing food waste and making a difference in the world. We value teamwork and face-to-face interactions, as it’s people who make the difference. But we don’t care about making hours in the office just for the sake of it. We don’t care about meetings for the sake of meetings.  We understand some people are more productive in the morning and others later in the day. Which is why we are a hybrid company with a lot of flexibility.

There are specific touchpoints when we all meet together, our morning daily check-ins, which can be done virtually. So we’re all aware of what’s going on. We’ll try to meet at least once a week face-to-face in the office, as some things are just better to do in person. Our teams are working with sprints. At the start of each sprint, we’ll spend some time together reflecting on our past successes and setbacks, reminding ourselves of our long-term goals, and setting new goals for the next sprint period. We track our sprint progress weekly.  Besides these touchpoints, we’ll let you choose where you want to work. If you feel comfortable in the office, we’ll see you there. If you’re more productive in your home office, don’t let us stop you!

What drives us

We are on a mission to provide our customers with objective, real-time quality parameters and shelf-life prediction of fresh produce. Enabling them to take more dynamic decisions in the supply chain to prevent food waste and save operational costs. OneThird was founded based on helping the food supply chain reach the goals set forth by UN SDG 12.3.  We know and measure the tremendous impact our technology and software have on preventing food waste.

Our vision is to create a fair & objective standard for assessing & improving quality of fresh produce from farm to fork. By making quality data transparent and actionable across the chain, we help our partners improve their sourcing, allocation, and sustainability decisions. Resulting in unique supply chain-wide quality insights and overall produce quality improvement!
