Join us in Rimini, Italy, at the Rimini Expo Centre from April 21 to 23 at stand E in the Berry Area. We are excited to show you exactly how our non-destructive digital quality assessment technology is changing the entire quality control process and fresh produce supply chains around the world. Want to guarantee time with us? Plan your meeting in advance.
Nondestructive testing
Our scanner uses infrared technology to measure critical quality parameters without touching a single berry. For strawberries and blueberries, that means instant Brix measurements and a reliable shelf-life prediction and without damaging the produce. The result is actionable data that operators can act on immediately, at a speed that is up to ten times faster than conventional methods.
Knowing the shelf-life of your produce at the point of measurement means you can make smarter routing and distribution decisions in real time. The right berries go to the right places, waste is reduced, and margins improve. This is what our customers are already experiencing across the supply chain.
Objective visual inspection
Through our AI-driven visual inspection, we deliver objective, digital assessments of strawberries and blueberries at scale. The system assesses key parameters, including size uniformity, color intensity, and visual defects such as dry and wet spots, consistently and without human bias.
By catching quality issues early, we prevent substandard fruit from moving further through the supply chain. That means less unnecessary transportation, less packaging, and less storage of produce that will not make the grade. The setup is straightforward, deployable at any scale, and applicable at any stage from the grower to the distribution center. It reduces the workload on quality control teams while providing the kind of consistent, data-driven output that makes reporting and trend analysis genuinely useful.
Avocado Scanner from farm to fork
While our primary focus at MacFrut is berries, we also provide quality assessment for avocados. This solution is applied across the supply chain with our quality assessment scanner for growers and distribution centres to retailers with the Avocado Scanner. The scanner is incredibly popular with both consumers and retailers and accurately indicates the ripeness of an avocado. Removing the guesswork and reducing the bruising that comes from squeezing. For retailers, it drives sales and reduces avocado waste in one elegant solution.
