Your Role
As Business Developer, you will investigate your target market, create a strategic plan to address this market in line with the overall strategy of OneThird. You will create new leads together with our marketing team and engage with prospects and customers to transition them towards the digital quality solution of OneThird.
You are responsible to prepare your forecast and meet and exceed the sales targets of your region (Benelux, Germany, Scandinavia). You will be working closely together with our customer success managers to support the customers from leads to fully implemented customers. You will identify the decision makers, champions and other influencers at customers and guide them through the implementation process and create long lasting relationships maximizing the value OneThird provides to the customer.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the entire sales process: from lead generation to closing multi-year license agreements.
- Develop a commercial strategy for expansion in Europe, supporting the OneThird strategy and mission.
- Translate customer needs into implementation plans of the OneThird solution.
- Work with the customer and internal team to setup clear KPI monitoring and determine the ROI of the implemented solution.
- Diligently use our CRM system to set up and optimize sales lead funnel, determine the sales forecast, execute sales and monitor progress.
- Work closely with our customer success-, product development-, and marketing teams to maximize customer satisfaction and ensure efficient implementation.
- Represent OneThird at trade fairs, customer visits, and industry events.
- Report to our Founder / CCO.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of commercial experience in the Agritech / Fresh Produce (AGF) industry in an international setting.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and quality control systems, with a customer-first mindset.
- Demonstrable experience in scaling innovative products or technology. Affinity with technology (SaaS, sensors, AI, optical systems).
- Commercially strong: from cold calling/lead generation to negotiation and long term account management and after-sales.
- Excellent command of English; Dutch or German is a plus.
- Independent, results-oriented, and communicatively skilled.
- Willing to travel frequently and work in an international context.
