In 2024, we launched our Store Scanner, enabling shoppers to instantly select ripe, high-quality produce — reducing waste in stores and at home.
The internship
As a Commercial Intern, you will support the day-to-day commercial activities of our Store Scanner business. You’ll work closely with Sales and Operations and gain hands-on experience in inbound sales, customer follow-up, CRM, and commercial operations.
Your work contributes directly to impact: every retailer you help onboard contributes directly towards smarter buying decisions and less food waste in stores and at home.
This internship is ideal for a student who wants to explore a future career in sales, account management, or commercial operations in a tech-driven startup.
Your mentor will be the Business Unit Manager Avocado Scanner.
What you'll be doing
Commercial & Sales Support
- Support inbound sales requests and customer follow-ups.
- Assist with onboarding new retail customers after deal closing.
- Help prepare customer outreach for renewals and extensions.
Customer & Operations Support
- Support customer communication and coordination with internal teams.
- Help track customer engagement and usage signals.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain and update customer data in HubSpot CRM.
- Document customer interactions, feedback, and learnings.
- Help improve commercial processes and templates.
Who we're looking for
Profile
- Student enrolled in a commercial, business, or related education (HBO / WO).
- Interest in sales, startups, and technology.
- Available for an internship period (duration flexible, typically 4–6 months).
Skillls & mindset
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Comfortable working with digital tools (Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
- Strong communication skills in English (Dutch and other languages are a big plus).
- Organized and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Motivated by impact and excited to contribute to reducing food waste.
- Enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment where no two days are the same.
Practical details
- Location: Amsterdam, a minimum 2–3 days per week on-site.
- Compensation: monthly stipend to cover expenses (internship is unpaid).
- Contract: Internship, full-time preferred.
